The Natural History Museum
Another Saturday, another trip to a London museum! :-D
The Natural History Museum is great. It is right next-door to the Science Museum in South Kensington and is a huge brick building decorated with gargoyles. As you walk in the entrance you are greeted by an amazing skeleton (or cast of a skeleton).
Highlights:
The dinosaur section is very much worth the queue. It contains a three quarters scale moving T-Rex towards the end which (using a little imagination) is actually quite scary.
The section of a Giant Sequioa tree is pretty impressive as are the photos next to it.
The mammal area is great and complete with full size model of a blue whale. It’s huge!
The best thing is that despite spending a good few hours there I think I only saw about a quarter of the exhibitions. Definitely worth another visit!
